Choy Lee Fut 蔡李佛


Choy Lee Fut is a well-rounded Chinese Martial Art system that combines animal hand techniques from Southern kung-fu and extended, circular, and agile movement from the Northern kung-fu. Choy Lee Fut system is a practical and effective self-defense system known for being able to defend against multiple attackers.

Choy Lee Fut classes begin with basic light warm up before moving onto stretching. After the body is prepped and warmed up, speed training begins. Speed training consists of basic punches, kicks, and combinations to condition the body and train for practical use for self-defence. And from thereafter, forms/sets are practiced to furthermore condition the body for technique, coordination, and strength. Forms/sets are a series of movements that utilize a variety of punches, kicks, and footwork. Each technique in a form/set can be put into a practical application. As for the weapon forms/sets, they require the practice of the basic hand sets/forms since the weapon forms/sets are based on the fundamentals of the basic hand forms/sets.

Choy Lee Fut is for self-defence, improvement of health, and conditioning of body, mind and spirit. The way of Choy Lee Fut is to gain a better understanding the your own body, mind and spirit. Choy lee Fut will help you train on focus, relaxation, muscle usuage, stamina, agility, and body coordination. This will help you through your daily life, whether it is for school, work, sports, etc. The order of training which all Choy Lee Fut practitioner follows is technique, speed, power, accuracy, and timing.
